Day 1 | Highlights:

Today you cruise through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon River National Parks. From the luxury of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck enjoy a gourmet lunch of local Tasmanian delicacies. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour and visit heritage landing and Sarah Island. This afternoon take in the pristine alpine vistas of Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Park, where you’ll enjoy a special stay for the next two nights.
Day 5 | Cradle Mountain Highlights:
Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies this morning to be treated to magnificent views of Cradle Mountain and breathtaking reflections on Dove Lake. Hear the stories from your local guide about the intrepid early settlers of this area.
Day 6 | Cradle Mountain > Smithton Highlights:
Leave the mountains for the coastal towns of Burnie and Penguin. Enjoy the rugged coastline on the way to the village of Stanley. Discover the aptly-named Dismal Swamp, the only Blackwood sinkhole in the world. Join your local guide as you walk along the cantilevered walkway suspended over the treetops to discover this unique environment and spot rare wildlife. Day 7 | Smithton > Launceston Highlights:
Visit the town of Sheffield and discover its history from the murals that are painted on the walls across town. They depict Sheffield’s history, geography, wildlife and people. Upon arriving in the charming city of Launceston visit Cataract Gorge and ride the chairlift to take in its beautiful scenic views. Enjoy a two night stay in Launceston.
Day 8 | Launceston Highlights:
Choose from a tour of the infamous Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Centre as well as a visit to the Platypus House and Seahorse World. Alternatively, tour the cool climate wineries in the region or enjoy a leisurely lunch cruise on the Tamar River.
Day 9 | Launceston > Freycinet National Park Highlights:
Journey to the coast via Legerwood and discover unique tree carvings, a memorial to World War I.
Day 10 | Freycinet National Park Highlights:
A day at leisure to explore this coastal wilderness at your own pace. Marvel at the myriad of colours – pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise waters. Take one of the many walks and soak up the beauty of Wineglass Bay.
Day 11 | Freycinet > Hobart Highlights:
Travel back to Hobart via the convict towns of Ross and Richmond and see Australia’s oldest bridge, built by convict labour. During a visit to Bonorong National Park meet Tasmanian’s shy and elusive Tasmanian Devil before arriving back at your hotel in Hobart for two nights.
Day 12 | Hobart Highlights:
Choose from a range of Hobart attractions – enjoy a cruise to Peppermint Bay or take a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery. Alternatively, tour the Huon Valley and walk amongst the fruit orchards or cruise on the MONA ferry and enjoy a tour of the daring Museum of Old and New Art.
Day 13 | Hobart Highlights:
It’s time to say farewell to new friends and the wonder of Tasmania.
