Journey along the Atlantic coastline to Cape Point, stop at the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to an African penguin colony.

Cape Town > Oudtshoorn
Highlights: Route 62 drive, Cango Caves

Stunning semi-desert scenery awaits en route to the town of Oudtshoorn. Later, discover a wonderland of underground chambers at the Cango Caves, among the largest in the world, before your overnight stay.

Day 5
Oudtshoorn > Knysna
Highlights: Lagoon cruise

Learn about Africa’s largest bird at a local ostrich farm, then head to Knysna on the Garden Route, famous for its oysters, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. Enjoy a scenic lagoon cruise with expert commentary on the region’s flora and fauna.

Port Elizabeth > Durban
Highlights: Tsitsikamma Rainforest

Travel along the Garden Route to Storm’s River Mouth in the Tsitsikama Rainforest. Later, board your flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban. Enjoy a two night Special Stay hotel, the ultimate in colonial charm and style.

Discover today the beach side town of Durban, famous for its Indian and colonial influences.

Hluhluwe > Ghost Mountain
Highlights: Rhino Sanctuary, Enrich - Tribal dance

The Dolphin Coast region of Natal has a sea of sugarcane fields. Enter Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, world-renowned for its rhino conservation programme. Later, check into your elegant hotel for a two night stay at the foot of Zululand’s legendary Ghost Mountain.

This evening, you’ll be treated to a mesmerising display of traditional Zulu dancing, complete with dramatic local drumming.

Ghost Mountain

Swaziland > Kruger National Park
Highlights: Lion Sands Game Reserve

Kruger National Park borders stretches an impressive 450 kilometres. You’ll enjoy a two night Special Stay at the Lion Sands Game Reserve, situated on a private concession within the park. The Sabie River flows through it and is home to the highest recorded concentration of leopards in Africa. Take a game drive in an open safari vehicle this afternoon and look out for the ‘Big Five’ before soaking in the ambience while dining at your lodge.

Lion Sands Game Reserve (Kruger National Park)
Highlights: Game drives, Scenic Freechoice

Limitless game viewing possibilities await as you traverse the entire Kruger National Park in specially adapted Land Rovers to track the ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Johannesburg > Victoria Falls
Highlights: Victoria Falls National Park

This morning, board your flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The world’s largest sheet of falling water rises up to 108 metres high and spans a gorge carved out of a flat plateau. Check into the marvellously colonial hotel for your three night Special Stay. Tonight’s outdoor dinner features a mesmerising display of traditional dancing.

Sundowners

Be treated to a special Sundowners cruise down the Zambezi River and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, drink in hand, just upstream from Victoria Falls.

Chobe National Park
Highlights: River cruise and game drive

Today is photography heaven as large concentrations of big game call Chobe National Park home. Embark on a game drive along the shoreline, where predators often come to drink. Later, enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Large pods of hippo and giraffe families inhabit the banks and surrounding woodlands.

Victoria Falls
Highlights: Enrich - Meet the people

Later, witness the power of Victoria Falls with a tour of the Zimbabwean side of the world’s largest waterfall. Enjoy dinner in the beautiful Livingstone Restaurant to complete your day.

Windhoek > Sossusvlei
Highlights: Flight to Sossusvlei, sand dunes

Soar over open savannah to the Namib Desert, as beautiful as it is remote. Towering orange sand dunes surround a stunning white salt pan known as Sossusvlei, or ‘gathering place of water’. Surprisingly, this desert wilderness is home to a wide variety of animals, including ostrich, zebra and springbok. For the next two nights, your meticulously appointed lodge will be your home.

Highlights: Dune ascent and desert safari walk Sundowners

Meet your local guide for an excursion into the dunes and discover how the ancient bushman scratched a living off this barren land. Take the rare opportunity to climb one of the sand dunes (moderate fitness level required) and witness the incredible vistas across the Namib Desert, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Marvel at the sunset in the desert with Sundowners on the deck of the lodge. You’ll get to enjoy the company of newfound friends in incredible surrounds.

Sossusvlei > Swakopmund

Fly north over the desert landscape to the seaside town of Swakopmund, Namibia’s premier resort town. You’ll have time for shopping and can enjoy a fabulous choice of local restaurants as you settle in for your two night stay.

Day 25
Etosha National Park
Highlights: Game drives

Join your expert game ranger for morning and evening game drives, and enjoy some of Africa’s finest savannah game viewing. Long lines of zebra, giraffe, elephant and springbok wander ancient paths between grasslands and waterholes as predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs wait for their chance in the shallow cover.

Day 26
Etosha National Park
Highlights: Game drive and night safari

Enjoy more game drives, including a night drive. Don’t forget to look up at the stars, as you’re far away from any city lights.

Highlights: Farewell

Enjoy one final flight over the landscape to Windhoek before connecting to your homebound flight. Please book flights to depart after 6.30pm.
