What does the role of Cruise Director entail?
The role is to be all things to all people. We are here to ensure the guests get the absolute most out of their cruise experience. I also need to be an entertainer, a listening ear and the ringmaster, so the guests can feel part of the Scenic family. The wellbeing and enjoyment of our guests always comes first.
What is your favourite feature of the Space-Ships?
The lounge is my favourite feature. We hold port talks here, entertain guests and, most importantly, this part of the ship is where travellers become friends with one another.
Tell us about your favourite locations on Europe’s waterways...
Regensburg, Rüdesheim, Heidelberg and Maastricht – all are very old and have many stories to tell. One minute you are in the middle of a bustling plaza, and then seconds later you are in a quiet avenue. The rivers themselves should not be forgotten. They all have their own character and charm; from the vineyards of the Rhine, Main, Danube and Moselle, to the countless castles we sail past.
How do guests respond to the Scenic Enrich events?
Scenic Enrich experiences create a lasting impression with guests. Take the classical concert at Palais Liechtenstein: to be in a baroque palace of such beauty and be absorbed by the music of Strauss, Mozart and Beethoven is truly awe-inspiring for both our guests and the Scenic team alike.
