Meet the Discovery Team

Jason Flesher
Jason Flesher - Lecturer/Naturalist and Expedition Team Leader - Nationality: USA

Jason has been committed to all aspects of experiential and wilderness education along with search and rescue for over 35 years. From the top of 23,000 foot peaks to exploring the labyrinths 1,500 feet beneath the surface of the earth and kayaking the world’s oceans, Jason’s professional experience evolved to the role of Lead Antarctic Expedition Guide for 2041 expeditions that focus on climate change and as an experiential facilitator and wilderness guide educating diverse groups of all ages and backgrounds in over twenty countries, on all seven continents.

Travis Wadeley - Assistant Expedition Leader - Nationality: South Africa
Travis was born and raised in the beautiful city of Cape Town where his passion for the ocean started at a young age.  His adventurous nature led him to the Bahamas where he worked on a private island as a lifeguard and then into cruising with a shore excursions role visiting many popular destinations.  Amazed by the natural wonders of the world, a desire to discover and to visit more remote locations took Travis to Expedition cruising where for the last six years he has worked in remarkable parts of the world such as Antarctica and the Arctic, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge as an experienced expedition team member.
Alice Forrest - Marine Biologist
Alice is a marine biologist and wildlife guide, with a passion for the natural world and the creatures who inhabit it. As a researcher but also a diver & freediver, she’s a firm believer in the need to communicate the science as well as the intrinsic value of the ocean and what’s beneath the surface. Her work has taken her to remote islands throughout the Pacific & Indian Oceans – finding plastic inside fish in French Polynesia, discovering the most plastic-polluted beach in the world on Henderson Island (Pitcairn), studying seabirds on Australia’s Lord Howe Island, and blue whales off Sri Lanka. She believes science is useless unless communicated, and with this in mind has worked in wildlife conservation and plastic pollution education for many years.
