Day 1 | Highlights: Welcome reception
Welcome to Myanmar. Settle into your hotel for a two night Special Stay in Yangon. (Please book flight to arrive by 4.30pm).
Day 2 | Yangon Highlights: Enrich - Lamp lighting Shwedagon Pagoda
Board the Circle Train for a unique opportunity to observe the lively and colourful life of rural Burmese people. Alternatively, embark on a guided tour of Yangon’s thriving art scene, or ride a ferry across the Yangon River to Dhala village.
Day 3 | Yangon > Pyay (Prome) > Irrawaddy Cruise Highlights: Htaukkyant Allied War Cemetery
On your drive to Pyay, pay your respects at Htaukkyant Allied War Cemetery. On arrival, you'll board the luxurious Scenic Aura and relax at the welcome cocktail reception.
Day 4 | Pyay (Prome) > Sri Ksetra Highlights: Discover Sri Ksetra
Start with a visit to Shwesandaw Pagoda before heading to Sri Ksetra, the ancient Pyu Kingdom’s capital and also Myanmar’s first World Heritage-listed Site. Later commence your cruise north into the heart of Myanmar.
Day 5 | Thayetmyo Highlights: Colonial architecture
A morning of exploration awaits in Thayetmyo. Try your hand at putting on the oldest golf course in Myanmar, admire the region’s old colonial buildings and explore the gems at the local market before returning to the ship to continue to Magwe.
Day 6 | Magwe Highlights: Trishaw ride
In Magwe, explore the town by traditional trishaw, similar to a side car. Visit Mya Tha Lun Pagoda, a mesmerising architectural vision set on Naguttama Hill. Enjoy the remainder of the day cruising to Salay.
Day 7 | Salay > Bagan: Highlights: Enrich - Colonial experience
On your morning walking tour of Salay admire a beautiful teak monastery and look inside the largest lacquer Buddha in Myanmar.
Day 8 | Bagan Highlights: Freechoice, Sundowners at Clay Pot Mountain
Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight - Take a hot air balloon flight over the majestic temples of Bagan. Must be purchased prior to your cruise. (Plese note: available only from late-October to mid-March; all flights weather permitting).
Day 9 | Bagan > Schwe Pyi Thar Highlights: Enrich - Morning alms and traditional breakfast
Rise early to attend morning alms for the local monks before being invited to eat mohinga, a traditional breakfast with the local people.
Day 10 | Yandabo Highlights: Pottery village
Sail to Yandabo where in 1826, the peace treaty ending the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed. Now famous for its pottery, stroll through the village and witness the craftsmen honing their craft and observe their unusual way of firing the pottery.
Day 11 | Sagaing > Inwa (Ava) Highlights: Enrich - Monastic school and nunnery visit
In the ancient capitals of Sagaing and Inwa, spiritual enlightenment awaits.
Day 12 | Mingun > Mandalay > Amarapura Highlights: Sundowners at U-Bein Bridge
Cruise to Mingun to discover the stories behind a massive unfinished brick pagoda. Admire the famous un-cracked Mingun Bell and the all-white Hsinbyume Pagoda. Sail to Mandalay to visit Amarapura.
Day 13 | Irrawaddy Cruise > Mandalay Highlights: Enrich - Gold leaf
Marvel at Shwenandaw, a beautiful wooden monastery covered internally in gold leaf. Equally as impressive are the sights at Kuthodaw Pagoda, where the ‘World’s Largest Book’ is housed. Later walk through the rebuilt Mandalay Palace, destroyed during World War II.
Day 14 | Mandalay > Inle Lake Highlights: Red Mountain Estate Vineyard
Fly to Heho and stop at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, before continuing to Nyaung Shwe. Glide across the waters of Inle Lake in private long tail boats towards your three night Special Stay. This afternoon relax at Red Mountain Estate Vineyards for some local wine tasting.
Day 15 | Inle Lake: Highlights: Enrich - Home cooked Intha meal
Cruise to Inle Lake’s floating market, which moves location every five days. Then, visit Phuang Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the region’s holiest sites.
Day 16 | Inle Lake Highlights: Freechoice, Sundowners overlooking Inle Lake
Visit Pindaya Caves and try cooking local cuisine, or stroll through Myanmar’s first vineyard estate before lunch and wine tasting. Alternatively, take a local village trek close by.
Day 17 | Inle Lake > Yangon Highlights: Yangon city tour
Fly to Yangon for one last Special Stay. Undertake a walking tour through Yangon's cobbled streets. Later, view the enchanting Kandawgyi Lake and visit Chaukhtatgyi Paya, Yangon’s reclining Buddha. Tonight savour your farewell dinner.
Day 18 | Yangon Highlights: Farewell
Say farewell to Myanmar.
