Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels with a Vietnam War Veteran.
Day 3 | Ho Chi Minh City > Mekong Cruise Highlights: Discover Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy a leisurely walk around Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House and Central Post Office; take in the view from the Bietexco Building’s lookout before boarding your coach to the luxurious Scenic Spirit.
Day 4 | Cai Be > Sa Dec Highlights: Freechoice; Sa Dec markets
Choose how adventurous you wish to be. Rise before sunrise and board a sampan to visit the famous Cai Be Floating wholesale market before stopping at local industries and French colonial houses along the Mekong. Then either choose to return to the ship or continue exploring Dong Ha Hiep Island in smaller long tail boats to explore the smaller tributaries and fruit farms. Alternatively relish a sleep in before savouring morning tea at the French colonial Le Longanier House with local musicians and cultural demonstrations.
Day 5 | Tan Chau Highlights: Freechoice; Gala ball
After an overnight cruise, anchor at Tan Chau.
Day 6 | Tan Chau > Phnom Penh Highlights: Discover Phnom Penh
Partake in some on board activities whilst awaiting clearance from Cambodian immigration. Spend the afternoon gently sailing towards Phnom Penh, taking the time to enjoy a cocktail by the pool or some solitude on your own private balcony as you watch the scenery pass you by. Enjoy sunset from on deck as you begin to see the lights of Phnom Penh in the distance. Tonight is yours to explore the night life of Phnom Penh.
Day 7 | Phnom Penh Highlights: Enrich: High Tea and puppet show
Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, the former school that was converted to the main prison of the Khmer Rouge, or take a guided tour of the local food market before joining a hands-on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, explore by Tuk Tuk Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings, the Russian Market as well as its modern architecture.
Day 8 | Oudong > Kampong Tralach > Kho Chen Highlights: Enrich: Monk blessing
After a short cruise from Phnom Penh to Prek K’dam, board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the mountain stupas, pagoda and monastery.
Day 9 | Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham Highlights: Wat Nokor
Awake as you approach Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery.
Walk to the top and soak in some of the best elevated views of the cruise. Back on board, your journey continues downstream to Kampong Cham where you will discover the legend of Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and Phnom Srei (Woman Hill), and explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok. Visit Wat Nokor, an 11th century temple with a modern pagoda built within. Later, return to the comfort of your ship for a champagne farewell reception and dinner.
Day 10 | Mekong Cruise > Siem Reap Highlights: Khmer bridge; Freechoice Dining
Drive to Siem Reap with stops at a stone cutters village, Kampong Thom and the ancient Khmer bridge at Kampong Kdei. Be greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival at your hotel, your stylish home for a three night special stay.
Day 11 | Siem Reap Highlights: Enrich: Angkor restoration talk
Begin the day with a visit to Angkor Thom, the multi-faced Bayon Temple and the Elephant Terrace.
Day 12 | Siem Reap Highlights: Enrich: Sunrise Angkor Wat; Apsara Temple dinner
Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat with a glass of champagne in hand. Afterwards walk through the temple before taking an included tethered balloon ride to experience the spectacular aerial view.
Day 13 | Siem Reap > Champasak Highlights: Discover Champasak
Fly to Pakse and discover this quaint city before travelling to the small town of Champasak and your boutique hotel for the next two nights.
Day 14 | Champasak Highlights: Wat Phou; Freechoice
Visit Wat Phou, a spectacular World Heritage-listed Khmer temple complex.
Day 15 | Champasak > Luang Prabang Highlights: Enrich: Baci ceremony
Fly to Luang Prabang, the spiritual capital of Laos for three night special stay at your colonial-style hotel.
Day 16 | Luang Prabang Highlights: Monk alms collection
Partake in morning alms by donating food to the local monks. Later, visit the former Royal Palace, Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai before cruising to the mysterious Pak Ou caves to see hundreds of centuries-old sacred Buddha images.
Day 17 | Luang Prabang Highlights: Freechoice
Journey to the serene Kuang Si Waterfalls or discover different methods of weaving and dyeing textiles. Alternatively set off on a bike ride to discover why Luang Prabang has become a haven for artists.
Day 18 | Luang Prabang Highlights: Farewell
Say farewell to Laos with many wonderful memories of the people and places you have visited during your Indochina adventure.
