Day 2 | Antwerp Highlights: Excursion to Bruges
Be seduced by beautiful World Heritage-listed Bruges or take a guided stroll through Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world.
Day 3 | Veere Highlights: Delta Works
Marvel at the modern wonder that is Holland’s Delta Works, and then visit the historic Storm Surge Barrier. Alternatively, discover charming Veere, either through a walking tour or a guided bike ride that will also take in the surrounding dykes.
Day 4 | Arnhem Highlights: The Netherlands open air museum
Explore the Arnhem Airborne museum and learn about the Battle of Arnhem. The Airborne Experience allows you to follow in the footsteps of the British parachutists who made their way across dangerous terrain to Arnhem in September 1944. Alternatively, visit the Netherlands Open Air Museum and discover historic houses, farms and windmills. The museum portrays the impression of daily life for the average Dutchman over the past few centuries.
Day 5 | Maastricht Highlights: Old town charm
Explore Holland’s oldest fortified city, Maastricht and discover its magnificent buildings and historic cobblestone town centre.
Day 6 | Xanten Highlights: Zollverein industrial site
Discover the charming town of Xanten on a guided tour. Alternatively, visit the Zollverein industrial site, once the largest and most productive coal mine in Europe.
Day 7 | Koblenz Highlights: Scenic Sundowners
You’ll be enchanted by the history and beauty of Koblenz, which straddles two of Europe’s most beautiful waterways.
Day 8 | Cochem Highlights: Fairytale Cochem
A medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River, Cochem will make you feel as if you’re stepping into a fairytale. Explore this charming city on a tour that culminates in a visit to the iconic Reichsburg Castle.
Day 9 | Moselle Valley Cruising Highlights: Moselle Valley cycling
Admire the beautiful Moselle Valley from the comfort of your Scenic Space-Ship as you relax on board during a full day of cruising. If you’re feeling energetic, take a guided bike ride to the pretty village of Bernkastel, where you can rejoin the cruise.
Day 10 | Bernkastel Highlights: Moselle delights
Travel to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and tour this exquisite city. Alternatively, take a guided walk through Trier, or get acquainted with beautiful Bernkastel.
Day 11 | Rhine Gorge > Rüdesheim Highlights: Rhine Gorge
Succumb to charming Rüdesheim, where you’ll board the Winzerexpress mini-train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Afterwards, enjoy a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument.
Day 12 | Mannheim Highlights: Concert at Rastatt Palace
Explore the historic university town of Heidelberg, with its fine Renaissance castle, or enjoy the Sweet Tastes of Heidelberg tour, where you’ll have an opportunity to sample some of the local chocolates, bon bons and gummy bears. Alternatively, experience the thrill of the Hockenheim Formula 1 race track, with a museum visit and an insider tour of the circuit
Day 13 | Strasbourg Highlights: Alsace wine tasting
Visit Strasbourg and discover La Petite France, or journey to Mittelbergheim in the Alsace and sample some of the best wines the region has to offer. Alternatively, visit a local market and Shop with a Chef.
Day 14 | Breisach Highlights: Cycle in the Black Forest
Be immersed in a truly magical experience during a visit to the Vogtsbauernhof Open Air Museum in the heart of the Black Forest. Alternatively, if you’re feeling more active discover the Black Forest during a hike, or take a guided bike ride.
Day 15 | Basel > Montreux Highlights: Swiss Riviera
Disembark and transfer to Vevey, home to Charlie Chaplin once he’d fled the United States. Enter the world of Charlie Chaplin as you meet one of the 20th century’s most celebrated artists during a visit to the Chaplin’s World Museum. This afternoon you’ll get the chance to luxuriate at your hotel in Montreux, located on the shores of picturesque Lake Geneva, where you’ll be enjoying a two night stay.
Day 16 | Montreux Highlights: Panoramic Train Journey
Today you’ll board a first class carriage for a panoramic train journey to Château-d’Œx. Upon arrival you’ll view traditional cheese-making in rustic ambience at the Restaurant Le Chalet. The Restaurant Le Chalet makes its own cheese, “Le Chalet Bio”. The cheesemaker transforms milk into a hard cheese right in front of your eyes. At the end of the demonstration you’ll have an opportunity to taste the freshly made cheese.
Day 17 | Montreux > Lucerne Highlights: Swiss Alps
Ascend the Swiss Alps to the breathtaking village of Gstaad. Then continue to Lucerne for your overnight stay.
Day 18 | Lucerne > Zurich Highlights: City tour
Repeatedly named the city with the world’s highest quality of life, Zurich is Switzerland’s largest city and home to a host of treasures. Take a walking tour and discover them for yourself, then relax and enjoy the amenities in your luxury hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 19 | Zurich Highlights: Farewell
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Zurich Airport for your onward or homebound flight with memories of a truly unforgettable trip.
