Day 3 | Silistra Highlights: Black Sea & Varna
Discover the Silistra Fort during an active walking tour, or take an excursion to Varna on the Black Sea coast. Alternatively, visit a local village, and learn about life in Bulgaria.
Day 4 | Rousse > Nikopol Highlights: Byzantine treasures
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Rousse. Or discover the Byzantine gem of Veliko Tarnovo and the World Heritage-listed village of Arbanassi; continue to Nikopol in Bulgaria before re-boarding your ship.
Day 5 | Iron Gate Highlights: Danube Gorge
Relax on board and admire the scenery as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gate – a narrow gorge that the Danube has carved out between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. Not only is it a spectacular setting for a cruise, it’s also the natural border between Serbia and Romania.
Day 6 | Belgrade Highlights: Scenic Sundowners
Join your local guide and discover one of the oldest capital cities in Europe – Belgrade. Alternatively, choose a guided bicycle ride along the Danube, or taste your way around the local market through our ‘Shop with a Chef’ offering. Or for some true insight into local life join a walking tour with a local.
Day 7 | Osijek Highlights: Enrich home hosted meal
Explore Osijek on a guided city tour, or try your hand at fishing in a local village stream. Or, if you’re the more active type, you could opt to take a blissful guided bike ride through Osijek’s countryside.
Day 8 | Kalocsa Highlights: Hungarian horse show
Today you’ll get to witness a traditional Hungarian horse show.
Day 9 | Budapest Highlights: Buda & Pest
Today cruise into the mighty city of Budapest, you will be awe-struck by the sheer beauty of this city. Disembark your ship and join your local guide on a tour of the city and visit both towns of Buda and Pest, linked by the famous Chain Bridge. Guarded by the two lion statues on both bridgeheads, the suspension bridge offers one of the city’s most beautiful views. You will also have the opportunity to see Heroes’ square, Matthias Church, the Fisherman’s Bastion and the medieval town on Castle Hill. Your guided tour will finish at your hotel, where you will check in for your two night stay.

Today enjoy a day at leisure to explore this city on your own.
Day 11 | Budapest Highlights: Farewell
After breakfast, prepare to head home. It may be the end of your journey, but it’s the beginning of a lifetime of fond memories.
