14 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Québec City, Canada

    Welcome to charming Québec City, one of the oldest cities in North America. Embrace the old world charm as it takes you on an unforgettable journey through time. Enjoy a two-night Special Stay, located in the cultural and historical hub of Québec City. Join your Tour Director for a delicious welcome dinner this evening.

  2. Day 2 - Québec City

    Be mesmerised by European-influenced Québec, with historic châteaux, artists enclaves and horse-drawn carriages passing by you in the cobblestoned streets, as you stroll through the streets, escorted by your knowledgeable local guide. Enjoy lunch at the emblematic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.


    Meet with a Park Canada Historian for a private tour of the Fortifications and learn about the 1759, Plains of Abraham Battle where France lost the colony to England. Or, journey through the city’s storied past on a unique archaeological tour with a specialist archaeologist.

  3. Day 3 - Québec City > St-Alexis-des-Monts

    Drive to Huron-Wendat Reserve for a special introduction to the First Nations of the East Coast. Join your expert local guide for a walking tour of the historical part of the village and the sites important to their culture, including a guided visit of the museum and presentation of their traditional way of life in an authentic long house. Enjoy a unique lunch at the La Traite Restaurant and devour indigenous inspired specialities, before departing for St-Alexis-des-Monts in the Mauricie, a region of immense forests and pristine lake. Upon arrival at your Special Stay, board rabaska canoes and paddle to the hotel for check in.

  4. Day 4 - St-Alexis-des-Monts

    Soak up the majesty of the wilderness on a free day and choose from a variety of activities to enjoy at your own pace. You will discover its wildlife, and the amazing natural landscapes of this vast terrain, from the walking trails, canoes, kayaks, pedalos and thermal baths, including outdoor and indoor Jacuzzis, Hammam, saunas, cold water basin and relaxation area.


    Fly over the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve and the quaint village of St-Alexis-des-Monts by seaplane and capture a variety of breathtaking scenery and unforgettable memories.

  5. Day 5 - St-Alexis-des-Monts > Montréal

    Arrive in captivating Montréal, the ‘Paris of North America’. Explore the city on foot and taste local delicacies from artisans who have created a gourmet buzz in Montréal, before visiting the high-tech OASIS immersion. Canada’s largest indoor immersive temporary exhibition, it is inspired by the people, places and trends that shape our world. Visit the exquisite Notre-Dame Basilica Aura Show in Old Montréal, with its imposing Gothic Revival architecture before checking in for your one-night Special Stay. Join your Tour Director on your final evening for a farewell dinner.

  6. Day 6 - Montréal

    Say farewell as you transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Halifax to board Scenic Eclipse.

  7. Day 7 - Lunenburg

    Stretching along the eastern seaboard of Nova Scotia, Lunenburg is recognised by UNESCO as the best surviving example of a planned British colonial settlement in North America. Admire the brightly coloured wooden houses, dating back to the 18th century, in this charming fishing port.
    Today choose one of our Scenic Freechoice activities or join a more active Scenic Discovery excursion.


    Capture the vibrant colours, beautiful architecture, and authentic fishing heritage in Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a professional photographer, or experience the spectacular sites and atmosphere of Lunenburg's historic streetscapes and working waterfront on foot. Alternatively, join an art teacher from the Lunenburg School of the Arts for a sketching class along the historic waterfront.


    Meander through the islands around Blue Rocks on kayak, or ride from Old Town Lunenburg to the coastal community of Blue Rocks, riding through intimate fishing communities and coastal vistas.

  8. Day 8 - Bar Harbor, USA

    Bar Harbor is a coastal paradise, with its New England charm, mountain top views and overflow of natural beauty. Bar Harbor has a way of making you slow down, appreciate nature and those you are with as you admire the changing beauty, from glistening sunshine to thick fog. Known as the gateway to Acadia National Park it is famed for outdoor adventure.


    Explore the cliffs, rocky coves, glacier-carved lakes, and dense forests of Acadia National Park, or discover the historic district of Bar Harbor, from Cadillac Mountain, Sieur de Monts Springs and the communities of Seal Harbor and Northeast Harbor, before finishing at an authentic Lobster Pound for lunch. Alternatively, enjoy an amazing array of flavours on a local food tour, accompanied by a generous serving of local history, fun facts, and lore, or join your experienced guide on a walking history tour who will share highlights and secrets from the Gilded Age, stories of rum running, and tales of the town folk who influenced the development of Bar Harbor.

  9. Day 9 - Portland

    Lighthouses, lobsters and long stretches of beach are synonymous with Portland, Maine, but the city has much more to offer: Victorian architecture, craft breweries, a thriving arts scene and world-class cuisine. At this time of year, the east coast’s famous fall foliage is everywhere, so it will be impossible to miss the brilliant red, orange and yellow trees.


    Explore Portland’s working waterfront on foot through the streets of this charming area and enjoy a progressive lunch from dine-in and to go restaurants, pubs, markets and artisanal shops, or learn to paint while taking in Maine's natural beauty with a painting class for all levels. Alternatively, explore the city highlights with a visit to historic Portland Head Light and the charming seaside town of Kennebunkport, or discover the lighthouses of the South Portland Greenbelt Pathway by bicycle on a guided tour.

  10. Day 10 - Boston

    Step foot in one of the oldest cities in the United States, founded in 1630 and steeped in history and culture. Boston is known as one of the most walkable cities in America, and one of the easiest to explore. While it is an intimate city, its cultural diversity makes it feel much larger. Boston has something for everyone.


    Discover Boston’s illustrious history and famous residents as you embark on a guided walking tour past numerous historic sites along the red-bricked Freedom Trail, or get a taste of Boston's historic Italian quarter on a fun food walking tour. Alternatively, meet with a Harvard student who will serve as your tour guide through Harvard, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, or take in Boston’s iconic sights along the Freedom Trail and through the heart of Boston in a World War II style amphibious vehicle.


    Revel in the history of Fenway Park, one of baseball’s most beloved stadiums and home to the Red Sox. Revisit the careers of Red Sox greats like Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, and Carl Yastrzemski, celebrate the club’s numerous World Series titles, and tour famous stadium locales like the ‘Green Monster,’ ‘Pesky’s Pole,’ and the Fenway Park Living Museum.

  11. Day 11 - Provincetown

    Beautiful beaches, welcoming locals, and a rich creative history. The diversity of Provincetown is what makes it unique. From sailors to artists, fishermen to authors, people are drawn to the Cape Cod highlight.  


    Experience Provincetown through the eyes of the infamous 17th-century Anne Hutchinson, or join a walking tour with your local guide. Alternatively, enjoy true local wines, wine jelly and sauces using fruit that are native to the area at Plymouth Bay Winery.

  12. Day 12 - Newport

    Newport is the global centre for yachting, and a perfect destination for Scenic Eclipse. With expansive sea views, awe-inspiring architecture and an inviting coastal charm, Newport glistens like a well-polished gem. Admire the opulent summer residences along cliff-top Bellevue Ave and the preserved Colonial-era architecture and landmarks at seemingly every turn.


    Enjoy a walk on the stunning Cliff Walk followed by a visit to one of Newport’s grandest mansions, The Breakers, and take in the sights of the Gilded Age mansions that dot the waterfront, or climb aboard an America’s Cup sailing yacht for a thrilling sailing experience. Alternatively, step aboard a 50-foot lobster boat, that has been traditionally and elegantly restored, on a Newport Harbor Cruise, or stroll through past original colonial-period buildings and historic landmarks on a walking tour.

  13. Day 13 - Martha’s Vineyard

    According to the locals, once you have been ‘on island’, you will never want to leave. Martha’s Vineyard is a charming and beautiful place, surrounded by pristine sandy beaches and brightly painted cottages.


    Explore a portion of the African American Heritage Trail, visiting Oak Bluff and Edgartown, or visit Cottage City Oyster farm and chat with locals about their nursery, watch a shucking demonstration and enjoy a tasting. Alternatively, experience Oaks Bluff on foot with your local guide for an informative and entertaining walk around this quaint and colourful town.

  14. Day 14 - New York

    Welcome to New York City. Your cruise ends this morning as you disembark taking away memories of a truly unforgettable experience.
