  1. Day 1 - San Diego, United States of America

    Board Scenic Eclipse, your home away from home to explore the beautiful Mexican Riviera and Costa Rica.

  2. Day 2 - At Sea

    Relaxation beckons, and with so many choices on board you will wonder how time passes so quickly. Choose one of the daily activities, join an entertaining discussion in the Theatre, or make time for your own fitness regime.

  3. Day 3 - At Sea

    Enjoy your time on board at leisure. Try a game of bridge or canasta in the Observatory Lounge or take some time out to relax in the Senses Spa.

  4. Day 4 - La Paz, Mexico

    La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur, is known for the old world charm of the seafront promenade mixed with the older architecture of the city centre. It is vibrant city with a real multicultural urban vibe.


    Head towards San Rafaelito Island for the chance to snorkel with a small colony of Californian sea lions, or spend the day exploring this charming town. Alternatively, kayak or paddle board at Balandra Bay.

  5. Day 5 - Isla Cerralvo

    The waters around Isla Cerralvo, or Jacques Cousteau Island are abundant with marine life.  With water visibility up to 30 metres this area is considered by many to be among the top five fishing spots in the world.

  6. Day 6 - Puerto Vallarta

    Puerto Vallarta is a town on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, known for its beaches and water sports. It is also where Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor filmed John Huston’s ‘The Night of the Iguana’. 


    Immerse yourself in the rural beauty that surrounds with an off road adventure, or explore the charming south region of Vallarta, rich in natural beauty, history, and heritage. Alternatively, visit one of Mexico’s greatest treasures, San Sebastian.


    As the stars appear in the sky in the heart of the steamy tropical rainforest at Las Caletas, experience a dazzling world-class show depicting the Aztec creation.

  7. Day 7 - At Sea

    Enjoy a relaxed day at sea on board Scenic Eclipse. There is ample time to rejuvenate.  Choose a class in one of the fitness spaces or try one of the therapy lounges in the Senses Spa.

  8. Day 8 - Acapulco

    Stunning coastal environment, golden sands, tropical weather, warm sea water and the friendliest people on earth – that is Acapulco.


    Assist with the conservation of the sea turtles by releasing baby turtles at Bonfil Beach, or explore the highlights of Acapulco and see the death-defying feats of its high cliff divers, or if you’re feeling active, head to Roqueta Island for a hike.

  10. Day 10 - Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala


    Drive into the mountains to beautiful old Antigua, once the country’s colonial capital, and discover its lovely bougainvillea-draped buildings and breathtaking views of emerald volcanoes, or travel to the famed Lake Atitlan and enjoy time in a small community where the Mayan culture remains.

  11. Day 11 - Acajutla, El Salavador

    Acajutla, El Salvador offers an authentic look at life along the Pacific coast of Central America.


    Visit what is known as the most important natural remnant  of the country, El Imposible National Park, or discover the fascinating Mayan civilisation at the archaeological site of San Andrés. Alternatively, learn the history of the region, including where some of the best coffee in the world is grown, or choose to have a unique gastronomic experience visiting a cocoa hacienda.

  12. Day 12 - Corinto, Nicaragua

    Visitors are attracted to Puerto Corinto’s untouched beaches ad idyllic tropical surroundings, its streets lined with quaint shops and lovely churches and architecture – here, life slows down.

  13. Day 13 - Bahía Culebra, Costa Rica

    Bahia Culebra, Culebra Bay, is a naturally formed bay which due t the quality of its waters has become a valuable natural eco-system and a model for preservation.


    Snorkel around Flamingo Beach and discover an enchanting marine world, or choose a Costa Rican cultural experience, where you will get a taste of how ancestors used to live in the 19th century. Alternatively, if you like adventure, zip line through the Papagayo Canopy, ride horseback across some of Guanacaste’s most beautiful surroundings or try white water rafting.

  14. Day 14 - Puerto Caldera > Monteverde Cloud Forest

    Your cruise ends this morning in Puerto Caldera as you say farewell to your crew. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Costa Rica. Welcome to colourful Costa Rica. Make your way to the famous cloud forest of the country, Monteverde. Visit NATUWA – Macaw and Rescue Centre to learn more about the conservation of native flora and fauna, including endangered species. Enjoy the scenic ride through forests and farms as you ascend the Tilaran Mountain Range for amazing views of the countryside and Nicoya Gulf. Arrive at  your luxury eco-hotel for the next two nights. Join your Tour Director for a delicious welcome dinner this evening.

  15. Day 15 - Monteverde Cloud Forest

    Take a Sky Tram up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a ride on the Sky Trek, a system of zip lines consisting of four kilometres of linear cable, and safely zip through the forest. Five observation towers that rise above the treetops will give you the unique opportunity to view the cloud forest from above. Alternatively, enjoy taking a walk over the hanging bridges.

  16. Day 16 - Monteverde Cloud Forest > Arenal Volcano

    It is time to leave the cloud forest behind and move towards the rainforest on the northern plains of the country. Cross the Arenal Lake by boat, one of the most scenic rides that you will have during your journey. Once on the other side of the lake, head towards the town of La Fortuna, home to the colossal Arenal Volcano that will be your host for the next three nights. Relax at the facilities of this immersive five star lodge this evening, and enjoy dinner with the group.

  17. Day 17 - Arenal Volcano

    Enjoy a guided journey through the Arenal Vida Campesina farm, experience life in the Costa Rican countryside by participating in local activities like milking a cow, making tortillas, gathering vegetables from the vegetable garden, milling sugar cane, and drawing water from a handmade well. You will also have the opportunity to sponsor and plant a tree in danger of extinction, followed by a delicious and wholesome organic lunch made with products harvested from the property and cooked on a wood stove.

  18. Day 18 - Arenal Volcano

    Enjoy the sights, sounds and tranquillity of the rainforest as you quietly paddle along the Peñas Blancas River. Keep your binoculars ready as a wealth of exotic wildlife awaits you, including monkeys, sloths, and numerous birds. Your expert guides will regale you with enlightening details about the plants and animals you encounter. Soak up the serenity as you travel down the river and capture memories on your camera.

  19. Day 19 - Arenal Volcano > San José

    Make your way to the capital of Costa Rica, San José. En route, stop for a delicious lunch prepared using authentic, local ingredients at a traditional restaurant in Poas, then continue towards La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Situated within a private park at an altitude of around 5,000 feet, you can walk along the 3.5 kilometres of trails to visit the five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest areas, and the various exotic animal and flower exhibits. Continue to your Special Stay hotel for the night. Tonight, exchange notes of your memorable Costa Rican holiday with your newfound friends at a nostalgic farewell dinner.

    Say farewell to Costa Rica as you transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport, taking with you a lifetime of wonderful memories.
