20 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Bucharest

    Enjoy an overnight stay in Bucharest.

  2. Day 2 - Bucharest > Brasov

    Your journey into the Transylvanian region begins this morning as you transfer from Bucharest to Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian royal family. It is considered by some to be one of the most beautiful castles in Eastern Europe. Then visit Sinaia Monastery before continuing to Brasov where your local guide will show you the sights before you check into your hotel.
    Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner complete with Romanian folklore.

  3. Day 3 - Brasov > Sighisoara

    A true highlight awaits. Visit Bran Castle, home of the legend of Count Dracula.  This afternoon you will arrive into the Saxon town of Sighisoara for an overnight stay, the birthplace of Vlad Tepes and the inspiration for the legend of Count Dracula.

  4. Day 4 - Sighisoara > Sibiu

    This morning you will have a choice of touring options in Sighisoara.

    Take a guided tour of this fortified city, or if you’re feeling more active, hike to the Church on the Hill for superb views over the city.

    After some free time continue to the medieval town of Sibiu. Explore its lively squares and colourful streets before checking into your hotel.

  5. Day 5 - Sibiu > Bucharest

    Visit Cozia Monastery before making your way back to Bucharest for your overnight stay.

  6. Day 6 - Bucharest > Braila

    Today transfer to Braila where our await your arrival and welcome you on board your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship.

  7. Day 7 - St. George > Danube Delta

    Sail through the passage of Saint George and the Danube Delta to reach the Black Sea coast. Admire spectacular scenery during your small boat cruise to Mile 0, where the Danube River meets the Black Sea.

  8. Day 8 - Silistra

    As you cruise the mighty Danube enjoy the scenery as you sail towards Vidin.

  10. Day 10 - Vidin

    Tour Vidin on foot, or opt for a hike to the Belogradchik Fortress. Alternatively, visit a local winery for a tasting, or join an Ancestry of the Kitchen excursion where you will join a local and learn to make traditional Banica, a delicious cheese filled Filo pastry pie.

  11. Day 11 - Iron Gates > Donji Milanovac

    Admire the spectacular scenery as you cruise the Iron Gates, with its incredible high cliffs and narrow gorges the Iron Gates also forms the natural border between Romania and Serbia.

  12. Day 12 - Belgrade
