Travel the canals of Amsterdam, where meandering waterways bypass buildings that haven’t changed since Holland’s great voyages of discovery centuries ago. Visit Cologne, with its towering cathedral, and timeless Vienna, spiritual home to Europe’s greatest composers. If you’re after great food, there’s more than enough in this itinerary to get you salivating, including visits to Regensburg, known for its delectable wurst, and Bamberg, equally famous for its world-class beer.   1. Day 1 - Welcome to Budapest

    Your journey into wonder begins here. Relax and raise your glass to the days ahead at this evening’s welcome reception.

  2. Day 2 - Budapest

    Make the most of Budapest with a guided tour, or relax and unwind at the local Thermal Baths and Spa. Alternatively, take a hike to Buda Hill or experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock.

  3. Day 3 - Vienna

    As you cruise the mighty Danube, relax in one of the lounges and viewing areas and enjoy the scenery as your Scenic Space-Ship sails towards Vienna.

    Admire the opulence of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then sit enthralled during an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart.

  4. Day 4 - Vienna

    Take a tour of Bratislava or Schönbrunn Palace. Alternatively, visit the famous Spanish Riding School and either tour the stables or see the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program. Or explore Vienna on a guided cycling tour.

  5. Day 5 - Dürnstein > Melk

    Embark on a guided bike ride along the river from Dürnstein to Melk, or be guided through Melk’s magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, visit a local winery and sample some of
    its fine wines.

    As the day ends, enjoy the fine view of the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau Valley.

  6. Day 6 - Passau > Salzburg

    Let the ‘Best of The Sound of Music and Salzburg Show’ transport you to another time and place. Based on the timeless movie of the same name, this exclusive production is performed in the rolling hills of Salzburg.

  7. Day 7 - Regensburg

    Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval Old Town to the Bavarian Forest on its border.

    Enjoy a walking tour of the city or board a local ferry and sail the Danube Gorge to view Weltenburg Abbey, sampling beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. You could also cycle to the Walhalla monument, or take an active walking tour to Thurn und Taxis Palace.

  8. Day 8 - Nuremberg

    Welcome to this fascinating Bavarian city, dating back to the 11th century.

    Explore the city on foot or visit moving WWII sites, or take a baking class.

  9. Day 9 - Bamberg

    Immerse yourself in the World Heritage-listed Old Town of Bamberg, alive with history. With your knowledgeable local guide, walk the same cobbled streets as medieval traders once did.

  10. Day 10 - Würzburg

    Visit the Bishop’s Residenz Palace and sample some exquisite local wine, or explore the famous Romantic Road – an important trade route during the Middle Ages. Then take in the beautiful walled town of Rothenburg, a medieval gem that overlooks the Tauber River.

  11. Day 11 - Würzburg > Rüdesheim

    Soak in the vistas of the Main River as you spend a full day relaxing on board. Be mesmerised by passing scenery while commentary from your Scenic Tailormade device describes the captivating view unfolding before you. Or simply indulge in the on board amenities of your 5-star floating hotel.

  12. Day 12 - Rüdesheim > Rhine Gorge > Marksburg Castle

    Immerse yourself in charming Rüdesheim and board the Winzerexpress mini-train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Then enjoy a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument.

    Delight in the ambience at Marksburg Castle and enjoy a magnificent medieval feast.

  13. Day 13 - Cologne

  14. Day 14 - Amsterdam

    Travel by high-speed train to Paris, and spend three nights at one of our luxurious hotels.
