11 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Bruges

    Welcome to Bruges, the historic Flemish city that was founded in the 9th century by the Vikings. Upon arrival you will check into your wonderfully located hotel.

    A group transfer from Brussels International Airport will depart at 2pm, please schedule your flights to arrive prior to this time. Any transfers outside this time can be arranged but will be at an additional cost.

  2. Day 2 - Bruges

    This morning you will have the pleasure of exploring the beautifully preserved medieval centre with your local guide. Meander through the cobbled laneways that reveal charming town squares, see sights such as the Belfry of Bruges, the medieval bell tower, and enjoy a tasting of local Belgian beer while learning about the fascinating history of this ancient town.

  3. Day 3 - Bruges

    Enjoy this fabulous city at your leisure. Perhaps wander along the romantic canals crossing some of the 80 plus bridges of the city, some dating back to medieval times. If you’re feeling active, climb the 366 steps of the Belfry Tower for sweeping views across the city or indulge in some of the local specialities such as the famed Belgian waffles and chocolates.

  4. Day 4 - Bruges > Amsterdam

    After breakfast travel to Amsterdam and embark your Scenic Space-Ship. Relax and raise your glass to the days ahead at this evening’s welcome reception.

  5. Day 5 - Amsterdam

    Explore Amsterdam on a guided walking tour pausing along the way to sample the Dutch favourite, herring. Or cruise the iconic canals that have made Amsterdam world famous. Alternatively, if you’re feeling more active, join a guided cycling tour or, discover charming Volendam, with its unusual raised homes and quaint wooden church, before heading to the equally charming village of Edam.

  6. Day 6 - Cologne

    Enjoy a scenic ride on the oldest cog railway in Germany and discover splendid Drachenburg Castle, or stroll through Cologne and get up close to the filigree twin towers of the famous cathedral. Alternatively, stay on board for a beer tasting, or learn the history of one of the city’s most famous namesake, Eau de Cologne on a guided tour.

  7. Day 7 - Koblenz

    Take a guided tour of Koblenz, straddling two of Europe’s most beautiful rivers. Alternatively, discover Cochem – a true medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River. Cochem will make you feel as if you’re stepping straight into a fairytale and you’ll be able to explore this charming city on a guided tour including a visit to Reichsburg Castle. Alternatively, visit a local winery and sample some of the fine wines of this region or take a guided cycling tour.

  8. Day 8 - Mannheim

    Join a local guide on a historic tour of Heidelberg, where you’ll visit Heidelberg’s Renaissance castle. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. Or join a guide for an orientation tour of Heidelberg, followed by leisure time.

    Enjoy a private evening concert at a fine Baroque palace. It’ll be an evening of grandeur unlike any other and a chance to create memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

  9. Day 9 - Baden Baden

    Arrive in charming Baden Baden, a spa town famous for its Roman baths.

    Join your local guide on a tour of this picturesque town and tour the ruins of the Roman baths that have made this city famous or take an active hike to Hohenbaden Castle. Alternatively, visit the Mercedes-Benz factory.

  10. Day 10 - Strasbourg

    Visit Strasbourg, discover La Petite France and stroll through the Old Town with its half-timbered houses and distinctive Alsatian winstubs. Alternatively, journey to Mittelbergheim in the Alsace and sample some of the best wines the region has to offer. Or explore the Black Forest region during a visit to the Vogtsbauernhof Open Air Museum.

  11. Day 11 - Basel

    After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Zurich Airport for your onward or homebound flight. You’ll be taking a lifetime of wonderful memories back with you. Please schedule flights to depart after 10am in Basel and 11.30am in Zurich.
