Take a walking tour around the city’s heritage buildings, or a ferry to MONA museum. Learn about the state’s convict past at the former penal settlement of Port Arthur.
Visit spectacular Russell Falls before continuing to the picturesque town of Strahan. Spend a full day here, perhaps cruising along the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park or riding the West Coast Railway. Be mesmerised by the alpine vistas at Cradle Mountain – Lake Saint Clair National Park and awake to misty morning views. In Launceston, sample local gins and whiskies on distillery tours or try cool-climate wines at the cellar door. End your foray into Tasmania on a high note during an unforgettable Scenic Enrich experience, flying to Flinders Island in Bass Strait, discovering stunning beaches and visiting one of Tasmania’s most significant Aboriginal sites. 11 Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 - Hobart

    Welcome to Hobart and the Apple Isle. Your three-night Special Stay which includes a special Taste of Tasmania welcome dinner.

  2. Day 2 - Hobart


    Choose from a range of attractions in the harbour city. Enjoy a bus tour and take in some of Hobart’s main highlights or visit the Huon Valley and walk amongst the fruit orchards. Alternatively, cruise on the MONA ferry and enjoy a tour of the daring Museum of Old and New Art (subject to seasonal operation) or cruise the Derwent River to see Australia’s oldest lighthouse or visit the Historic Village of Richmond (subject to seasonal operation).

  3. Day 3 - Hobart

    Delve into Tasmania’s convict past with a visit to World Heritage-listed Port Arthur. Your guided tour of the former penal colony includes a cruise to the Isle of the Dead for a true insight into the lives and deaths of Port Arthur’s past residents, both convicts and free settlers.

  4. Day 4 - Hobart > Strahan

    Visit the lush rainforest of Mt Field National Park, Tasmania’s oldest National Park, and the location of the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls.


    Witness history in the making with your visit to the ‘Wall in the Wilderness’, a wood-carved history of the Central Tasmanian Highlands. A continuous work in progress, artist Greg Duncan has hand-carved a series of scenes into panels commemorating those who have shaped the area’s past and present.

    Travel to Queenstown before arriving in the picturesque village of Strahan, for your two-night stay.

  5. Day 5 - Strahan


    Cruise through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. From the luxury of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck, enjoy a gourmet lunch of local Tasmanian delicacies. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour and visit Heritage Landing and Sarah Island; or ride the West Coast Railway, stop at remote stations and pan for gold. Take a wilderness walk and watch the locomotive be turned by hand before returning.

  6. Day 6 - Strahan > Cradle Mountain

    Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies this morning to be treated to magnificent views of Cradle Mountain and breathtaking reflections on Dove Lake. Hear the stories from your local guide about the intrepid early settlers of this area. Take in the pristine alpine vistas of Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Park, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay.

  7. Day 7 - Cradle Mountain > Launceston

    Visit Hellyer’s Road Distillery and take the whisky walk, learning about how whisky is distilled and matured in Tasmania. Visit the town of Sheffield and discover its history, geography, wildlife, and people from the murals that are painted on the walls across town. Upon arriving in the charming city of Launceston, visit Cataract Gorge and ride the chairlift to take in its beautiful scenic views. Enjoy your three-night Special Stay.

  8. Day 8 - Launceston


    Choose from a tour of the cool climate wineries or a beer tasting tour at Boags Brewery. Alternatively, join a leisurely lunch cruise on the Tamar River.

  9. Day 9 - Launceston

    After a leisurely morning, visit Tasmania’s only gold medal gin distillery – Turners Stillhouse located in the picturesque Grindelwald valley for a tour and tasting. Then enjoy a guided walk through the vines before a tasting of the cool climate wines at the Tamar Ridge Cellar Door.

  10. Day 10 - Launceston > Flinders Island > Hobart


    Fly from Launceston to Flinders Island, the largest island in the Furneaux Group located in Bass Strait. Spectacularly wild and rugged, spend the day with our local guide discovering sparkling beaches, abundant wildlife and flora and clear sapphire beaches. Visit the historic Wybalenna, one of the most significant Aboriginal historical places in Tasmania.  Leaving the island, the return flight to Hobart will fly along the East Coast of Tasmania seeing the iconic Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park from above.

    Arrive back in Hobart for your overnight stay and enjoy a farewell meal at a local restaurant.

  11. Day 11 - Hobart

    After breakfast, bid farewell to your newfound friends.
