To help you plan your outings, our list of Scenic Freechoice activities is divided into Active, Moderate and Relaxed, so you can choose those which best suit your requirements and interests.

Active – A longer or more demanding journey for those keen to explore further afield.
Moderate – A comfortable pace to explore a beautiful city on a walking tour.
Relaxed – A slower pace taking in a museum or sightseeing tour.

Each day will be filled with immersive, personalised encounters with the local people and their customs. Our group sizes are limited to an average of just 20 guests per onshore excursion, for an intimate experience.

Ride a bicycle to a local farm in Tra Que Village. Join the farmers as they prepare the land and fertilise it with seaweed. Assist with raking, sowing seeds, watering and picking greens. Active Pace.

From Farming to Fishing - NEW
Ride a bicycle to a village to learn about the lives of Hoi An’s fishermen. Climb into a small, round bamboo fishing basket and learn to cast a fishing net the traditional way. Active Pace.
Reaching Out to the Community – Lantern Making Class - NEW
Meet with the team at Reaching Out, an NGO established in 2000. Gain an insight into their efforts to provide opportunities for people with disabilities and undertake a lantern making class at their workshop. Relaxed Pace.

Colonial Tea and Cultural Demonstration (pictured)
Visit the charming and restored French Colonial Le Longanier house for refreshments in an idyllic garden setting, whilst enjoying a cultural demonstration of the Mekong Delta. Relaxed Pace.

Learn about the history and folklore of the area with a visit to Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and Wat Nokor, an 11th-century temple with a modern pagoda built within. Moderate Pace.
Kho Pen Village - NEW
Accessible by local remork and located on Pen (Bamboo) Island, across the bamboo bridge/ferry from Kampong Cham, this remote village gives a good insight to the harsh and simple rural lifestyle of farmers in Cambodia. Moderate Pace.
Local Industries
Visit a rubber plantation and factory and stop at a Betel nut village outside of Kampong Cham. Moderate Pace.
