Welcome to the Scenic & Emerald Rewards. You will find our general terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully, as use of our service requires acceptance of these conditions.
The Scenic & Emerald Rewards Program of the Scenic Group (the “Program”) rewards the loyalty of its Members. Through the Program, the option of earning Status Points and earning and redeeming MyRewards is offered.
These Terms and Conditions apply to the general operation of the Program. Special regulations may also arise from other applicable terms and conditions such as the Booking Terms and Conditions (BTTCs) and the Passenger Ticket Term and Conditions (PTTCs). The BTTCs and PTTCs can be found on the website. In case of any conflict of provisions regarding this Program between these Terms and Conditions and the BTTCs and PTTCs, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
If you have any questions, your reservation team will be happy to help you. The following Terms and Conditions replace entirely all prior versions of Terms and Conditions relating to the participation of the Scenic Club and EmeraldEXPLORER Programs. The operator of this Program is Scenic Tours Europe AG, Switzerland (the “Operator”).
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings as defined below unless the context requires otherwise:
“BTTCs” means the respective applicable booking terms and conditions of the respective Market entity.
“Journey” means any Cruise or Land Journey booked with Emerald or Scenic as outlined in the Itinerary and (if applicable) as amended.
“Journey Price” means the total amount payable by guest for the Journey, including the booking deposit.
“Market” means each of the following Scenic and Emerald markets: Asia Pacific Region (APAC), Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA), United Kingdom and the United States of America.
“Market Entity” means each of the Scenic sales entities in the respective Markets.
“Member” means a person who has been enrolled in the Program as a participant and is being recognized as a participant. “Membership” means the participation of a Member in the Program. “Membership Number” is the unique number allocated to each Member. “Membership Tiers” means the different tiers of Membership as set out in section 7.
“MyRewards” are the points earned by a Member as defined in section 9.
“Program” means this Scenic & Emerald Rewards Program. “Program Partner” means an entity with which the Operator has entered into an agreement to provide goods and/or services to a Member under an arrangement with the Program Partner.
“PTTCs” means the passenger ticket terms and conditions issued by the carrier of a Journey.
“Scenic Group” means the Scenic corporate group. “Status Points” means the points as defined in Section 6.
“Terms and Conditions” means the Terms and Conditions of the Program as set out here and as may be changed from time to time by the Operator, at its discretion. “Tour Days” means a fully paid day of touring on Journey which includes an overnight stay. Additional paid days that form part of the Journey count towards Tour Days.
Any term not defined herein may be defined in the BTTCs or PTTCs.
2.1. Persons eligible for Membership are exclusively individuals (natural persons) who are at least 12 years old. In the case of minors, representation by and consent of a legal representative (such as a parent or legal guardian) are required for the effective conclusion of a contract.
2.2. There is no legal entitlement to Membership of the Program. The Operator may refuse anyone’s acceptance as a member of the Program with no reason provided.
2.3. Membership is individual and non-transferable. Where there is more than one person in a household and/or one booking number, each person qualifies for Membership individually.
3.1. Employees of the Scenic Group and their immediate or extended family or friends are not eligible to participate in the Program.
3.2. Associated companies of the travel industry and their professionals and associates who travel on a discounted Journey because of their association with the employee or industry will not have that Journey count towards Membership or Status Points or MyRewards.
3.3. The Operator and/or the Market Entity may at its own discretion threshold an individual into any Membership level it may wish.
3.4. Competition prize winners shall not be entitled to accrue any points or attain Membership as a result of receiving a competition prize that includes travelling on a Scenic Group product.
4.1 The contract relating to the Program is concluded either by
4.1.1 way of registration using the online forms provided on the website and the confirmation of membership sent by email to the Members (the acceptance), or
4.1.2 automatically after completion of the first Journey after launch of the Program in 2026, provided guest did not opt-out of the Program, or
4.1.3 if guests had previously travelled with the Scenic Group, provided guests did not opt-out of the Program.
4.2 Members shall provide their correct contact information and always keep such up to date. Upon request, proof of personal details and place of residence shall be provided by the Member. Members are required to provide a valid email address if they register online.
4.3 There are no fees for guests to be Members of the Program.
5.1. Members will receive and will have a unique Membership Number. Membership Number is not transferable and must not be given to other individuals to secure benefits from the Program.
5.2. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that their Membership Number is included in all of their bookings, either made via a travel agent or directly with the Scenic Group in order that they may receive the benefits of Membership.
5.3. If a Member cannot remember her/his Membership Number, the Member may contact responsible customer care team. The Member will be asked to provide information to confirm the identity and will be informed of the Membership Number.
6.1. The Program allows guests to earn status points per person per day (hereinafter “Status Points”) at the sole discretion of the Operator according to the category of Journey undertaken, including but not limited to, the deck and cabin type travelled and/or the amount paid per Tour Day. The Journey must have a duration of at least seven (7) Tour Days fully paid and completed. The Operator may from time to time run promotions that could change the Status Points per day.
6.2. The following table set outs the current available Status Points that can be earned per person per day:

The following tiers (“Membership Tiers”) are calculated based on the Status Points earned. Membership Tiers will allow Members to enjoy pre-Journey, onboard during Journey or post-Journey benefits. Members will receive Membership Benefits according to their Membership Tier.
The Membership Tiers are applicable as follows:

9.1. Earning MyRewards
After enrolment as Member, each Member has zero MyRewards regardless of its Membership Tier at the time of enrolment. For every fully paid and completed Journey, Member earns an equivalent to 1% of the Journey Price (hereinafter “MyRewards”) excluding, port charges, taxes, surcharges and service charges.
MyRewards will be also earned on flights booked via the Scenic Group, excluding any associated air-related charges and taxes.
MyRewards can be earned only for bookings made and confirmed after 9ᵗʰ February 2026.
9.2. Expiry of MyRewards
MyRewards expire 3 (three) years after the last day of the Journey the MyRewards were earned (“Expiry Date”). MyRewards are immediately forfeited upon opt-out from the Program and cannot be reinstated, even if a previous Member re-joins the Program as a new Member.
9.3. General Conditions
MyRewards are not a cash equivalent and cannot be converted or refunded in cash under any circumstances.
The MyRewards remain tied to the original booking currency and cannot be tied to another currency. Members can request a currency change if they have changed their country of residence. This change is only permitted when the new currency corresponds to the Member’s updated country of residence. The change will be subject to an amendment fee.
There are no minimum or maximum redemption thresholds to earn MyRewards.
MyRewards are transferable to individuals that have travelled with you under the same booking number, but not to any other individuals of third parties. The MyRewards earned will be divided among the travelers under the same booking number dividing by capita the respective Journey Price. MyRewards will be awarded to each traveler individually.
The sale, exchange in cash or auction of MyRewards, is excluded.
9.4. Redeeming of MyRewards MyRewards can be used for the booking of every Journey. The booking is subject to the respective applicable BTTCs of the respective Market and the PTTCs. For the booking of a Journey with MyRewards, the Reservations Team of the respective Market needs to be contacted.
MyRewards cannot be used for paying Booking Deposits, port fees, taxes, surcharges and service charges required under the BTTCs.
Travel agents can redeem MyRewards on behalf of a Member when creating reservations on the reservations systems of the Scenic Group, provided that the Member has authorized the MyRewards to be redeemed.
9.5. Cancellation of Journey booked with MyRewards
Cancellation (where permissible) of a Journey booked with MyRewards is only possible in accordance with the applicable BTTCs.
9.5.1
In the event a Member cancels a Journey booked with MyRewards redeemed, any cash payment will be applied with priority to cover applicable penalties or cancellation fees and My Rewards will be used to cover if the cash is insufficient.
Any remaining cash and MyRewards used for the reservation/booking will be refunded to the Member’s account with their original Expiry Date.
MyRewards that are used to cover costs that cannot be reimbursed on occasion of the cancellation are finally forfeited.
9.5.2.
In the event a Market Entity suspends or cancels a Journey, the same applies than stated in 9.6.1, except that if the remaining validity is less than 12 months at the date the MyRewards refund is credited, the Expiry Date will be extended to ensure a minimum 12-month validity period.
9.6 Change of Journey booked with MyRewards
Journeys booked with MyRewards can be changed (e.g. change of embarkation date, additional Tour Days etc.) in accordance with the applicable BTTCs.
9.6.1.
In the event a Member requests a change of a Journey booked with MyRewards resulting in a refund, any cash payment will be applied first to cover any applicable fees. The remaining cash, if any, and the MyRewards will be refunded proportionally to the Member’s account. The MyRewards refunded will be credited with their original Expiry Date.
In the event a Member requests a change of a Journey booked with MyRewards resulting in additional costs and change fees, the additional cost can be settled with MyRewards.
9.6.2
In the event a Market Entity changes a Journey, the same applies than stated in 9.6.1, except that if the remaining validity is less than 12 months at the date of the MyRewards refund is credited, the Expiry Date will be extended to ensure a minimum 12-month validity period.
The Operator reserves the right to make changes or additions at any time to these Terms and Conditions or other processes of the Program. The Operator and any Market Entity may under no circumstances be liable for changes resulting from legal requirements in a specific jurisdiction.
Changes or additions to these Terms and Conditions will be announced published on the website. Changes or additions to these Terms and Conditions are deemed to be accepted unless the Member submits an objection in writing within two (2) months of their announcement. If a Member rejects the change or addition, their membership can be terminated as an ordinary termination in accordance with section 11 of these Terms and Conditions.
11.1. Either the Member or the Operator may terminate Membership of a Member at any time and without cause upon reasonable notice to each other. The Operator reserves the right to terminate the Program at any time without any liability or responsibility to the Member with regards to the Program. With the termination of the Program, any earned points will be forfeited and cannot be converted into cash.
11.2. Fraud or abuse concerning the Membership and/or privileges and benefits is subject to appropriate administrative and/or legal action by the Operator.
11.3. Subject to applicable law, the Operator will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any Member because of termination, suspension, or cancellation of Membership.
12.1. The Program and Member’s entitlements to any benefits under the Program are subject to all laws applicable to the Operator and to the Member which restrict, prohibit, or limit the scope or extent of the Program or any Membership benefits.
12.2. Should any benefits under the Program be subject to tax liability it (including disclosure connected with the receipt or use of the Program) it is the responsibility of the Member to comply with such tax liability.
A Member cannot assign its rights under these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Operator reserves the right to assign the Terms and Conditions at any time without consent.
14.1. The Terms and Conditions of Membership of the Program are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
14.2. Any dispute in connection with or arising out of these Terms and Conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Zug, Switzerland.
15.1. The Member’s personal data relating to their Membership will be processed by the Market Entities for the operation of the Program in accordance with applicable data protections laws. More information about the operation of data handling is available on the website.
15.2. By becoming a Member, the Member consents to the processing of personal data. This includes sending messages relating to Membership to the contact details provided. The Member may object to the processing of personal data at any time. However, Membership cannot be continued in this case – clause 9.2. applies accordingly. Further information on the processing of personal data by the Scenic Group can be found on the website.
15.3. These personal data include in particular the data provided by the Member on registration and during the course of their Membership (“Master Data”), as well as any data received by the Operator or partner companies in the context of their Membership (especially when earning MyRewards) (“Program Data”).
15.4. Personal data may be forwarded to third parties for the administration of the Program.
15.5. Moreover, the Scenic Group has combined its customer loyalty activities from the different Markets. This means that the Member’s Master Data, the status and Program Data obtained by any Market entity are managed in a joint database. This data may be processed and used in aggregate and anonymized form (that is, with no possibility of a particular Member being identified) to analyse the administration, further development and marketing of the Scenic Group.
15.6. In addition to the above-mentioned purposes, personal data may also be processed by the Operator and/or Scenic Group companies in accordance with the respective applicable privacy policies as displayed on the website.
